On the 29th of May 2019 we were given the opportunity to take part in training & installation of an Anti Gravity treadmill at Stuart Barton Physio Therapy studio in Anstruther, Scotland.
HOW IT WORKS
The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill integrates patented, NASA Differential Air Pressure (DAP) technology, a precise air calibration system, and real-time information to change what’s possible in rehab and training. Using a pressurized air chamber to uniformly reduce gravitational load and body weight in precise 1% increments, AlterG enables patients and athletes to move unrestricted and pain- free – restoring and building muscle strength, range of motion, balance, function, and fitness. No other unweighting technology offers as much freedom, control, and versatility.
LEADING REHAB TECHNOLOGY
We got a good insight as to how the machine looks completely stripped down and learned a complete install from scratch. We were given the opportunity to strip the machine down to just the treadmill bed then transport into position on the gym floor, to then re build learning each components job individually. From the workings of the treadmill to how the anti gravity system works. We now have our very first service on these machines coming up in the month of June.
